Natural Face Oils for Your Face

Natural oils are quite versatile in the ways that we can use them but the perks that come with using natural oils on your face are usually overlooked. People commonly associate "oil-free" as the better option for facial products but this is not always the case. Choosing the right natural face oils can clear blemishes, hydrate, clear away dead skin and make your skin glow.

Here are some great options in regards to natural oils that you can use on your face.

Rosehip Face Oil

Rosehip oil has major anti-aging properties. It penetrates the skin and supports cell regeneration. This cell regeneration creates an increased collagen production, which makes the skin soft and supple.

Rosehip oil is rich in Omega-3, Omega -6, and Vitamin C- all of which promote the healing of scar tissue. Rosehip oil is a dry oil, so mixing it with coconut oil keeps your face lightly moisturized while not interfering with the benefits of the rosehip oil.

Hempseed Oil

If large pores are a constant battle for you, then try some hempseed oil. This oil helps to minimize the appearance of large pores by improving the skin's elasticity. Hempseed oil also helps to protect your face from airborne pollutants and free radicals. Hempseed oil is effective in soothing and treating eczema or psoriasis as well.

Just be aware that Hempseed oil is a dry oil, so if you're looking for more substantial coverage, try mixing it with castor or jojoba oil and that should do the trick.

Castor Oil

When you think of castor oil, you would typically think hair treatment because of it being rich in proteins, Vitamin E, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids. The truth is, all of these things are wonderful for your face as well.

Castor oil is ideal if you have acne-prone skin because of the oil's anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.  Always keep in mind that castor oil is quite thick so use it sparingly or mix it with a thinner oil such as jojoba or hempseed oil.
